A few days ago, the ranking of undergraduate majors in China for the 2017-2018 period was jointly released by the Research Center for Chinese Science Evaluation, the Network of Science and Education Evaluation in China, and the Evaluation Center for Quality of Education in China. Of the 198 universities being evaluated, the Bachelor of Arts Program in Translation and Interpreting of Beihang University is among the top 5% for the fifth time in a row since 2013, taking the fourth place with a “Five-Star” rating.
With the strong support of Beihang University and (its) School of Foreign Languages, the Bachelor of Arts Program in Translation and Interpreting was created in 2010. During their four years of undergraduate study, students enrolled in this program are rigorously trained to acquire both theoretical knowledge and practical skills of translation and interpretation while becoming bilingually fluent. Graduates from this program have been welcomed by the society at large.
